Cooling System - Closed fresh water system which cools the cylinder block, cylinder head and exhaust manifold. Sea water is used to cool the fresh water through a heat exchanger. The sea water system also cools engine and gearbox oil.
Fuel System - Two diesel fuel tanks, each 100 gallons, located at port and starboard sides of engine room. Tank fillers located om deck above each tank. Tanks are normally linked by large balancing pipe which can be closed at each end. Screw valve gate valves from each tank lead to stopcocks which in turn lead to the primary fuel filter with two switchable filters. A single pipe then leads to the engine fuel pump. The fuel return leads to the port tank.
Air Supply - Air is supplied by ducting from dorade vents at each side of the aft end of the deckhouse roof to the engine room. The engine draws air from the engine room atmosphere.
